New A8N32 SLI user, please help.

Hey guys I just got my computer put together last weekend and I've got it running with no problems at all. I'm using:

A8N32 SLI
Athlon 64 3700+
2 gigs of Corsair XMS PC4000 2x1024
ATI X800XL (substitute for now, waiting for G71 in SLI)
Seagate 250Gb 7200.9 SATA2
Plextor PX-740A
Nxzt Lexa case
PC Power & Cooling Turbo cool 510 SLI
Windows XP Pro

Here are my questions:

1. Are all of the SATA ports protected by default from overclocking? What do I need to do if they aren't? I've got my hard drive on the Nvidia SATA connector 2.

2. Also my temps are looking fine, but my VCORE seems above what it should be. Asus Probe and Speedfan both report my VCORE as 1.44Volts, this was what it booted using at stock. I thoought it should be 1.35 - 1.40 Volts? Is this normal and ok?

I appreciate any help that you guys can provide. Thanks in advance.
