New A7V BIOS... 1005A

Are U serius - Is this any different from all those 1005s that appeared about 2 weeks ago and even recently 1005E?? Is this another beta??
 
This one is definitely alot more stable then the 1005f. Still the multiplyers in the bios doesn't work.
 
Man did you read what I wrote? You need Board Revision 1.04 to use the multiplier.... and yes this is Final supposedly and not Beta..... Its super stable from what I know.... 1004 caused lockups for some people using optimal.... 1002 and 1003 I couldnt get Prime 95 to run for more than 15 minutes.... 1005 runs great in optimal and Prime 95 has run for 24 hours.
 
Just tried it and can't get ACPI to cool down cpu. Heard that PCI prefetch mode s/b enabled to fix - didn't try it. Still have to enable virus check at boot up in bios to bypass the boot disk failure. Or am I missing something. Otherwise OK.
Ah well its back to 1003 hacked bios for me.
So ASSus has sneaked board rev 1.04 in for multiplier to work hmmm - this may be my last ASSus purchase.
Still hedging on MSI "A" version before I dump this A7V in the garbage.

I assume you have a revision 1.04? What is different? Just curious. Did they change the pll chip?
 
That sucks so they only are going to enable the multiplier for rev1.04?

I haven't even heard of 1.04. So what are they going to do for all us poor Rev 1.02 owners?

That really sucks.

So will you still get better performance in general?
