I just got my hands on a new Leadtek A250 Ultra TD and was so excited to install and go but I think I may have a dead card.
Uninstalled Leadtek GF3 Ti 500 and 23.11 drivers; switched to VGA driver, rebooted, shut down. Installed new card, booted to
desktop and CD-ROM has disappeared from My Computer on W98SE. Oh well, I like reference drivers anyway, so I think I will
just install 23.11's - nope - halfway through install, message pops up that "PCI ID" cannot be found and install terminates.
I uninstall, switch back to GF3 Ti 500 and life is good again. Do I have a $389 paperweight?
System = Intel D850GB mobo, P4 1.5 GHz cpu, 512 RDRAM, 300 watt power supply, nothing sharing IRQ 11 except PCI Steering,
Audigy Gamer, etc.
