It's basically the same speed as the 8800Ultra card. But it runs cooler than the Ultra. One of the fastest single cards out right now until ATI and Nvidia's new cards later this month.

I've had mine for a little while now and its an amazing card, i have the fans set at around 60% using rivatuner and the fan at idle stays around 114 F, at load it only gets around 145F so its pretty cool and there isnt really any games to challenge it, I run crysis at 1900x1200 with very high setting and its pretty damn smooth except at the major graphic intensive points but normal play running around its smooth as hell. You'll enjoy it!

They are great cards for the price. OC like a champ too. Mine has been stable all the way to 820mhz core (Stock 675). Just get a tuner program and crank the fans up a little, and you will be happy.

I tried Rivatuner and it doesn't work correctly for increasing fan speeds on the 9800GTX. I've heard that EVGA precision does but I haven't tried it.

the rivatuner does work, however to get mine to work, i had to follow a guide which made me setup a controller to autoadjust the fan speed at a certain temperature, and then had to restart the computer. Try that and it should hold.

That is what i heard, that they OC great...up to 800mhz no problem. So the best program for fan speed control for the car would be rivatuner. This is quite a new system for me. I just ordered it all...upgrading from a P4 3.0ghz and 6800 gt oc...to a q9450 and 9800gtx. I cant wait.

I was looking up the link for you for the guide, and found out that apparently the new 175.16 nvidia drivers fix the fan problem. So if you set it, it should stick, just set the fan speed, save it and reboot your computer.
