I just got my new 9600 Pro, and I'm moderately happy with it. Things look good, especially in games like Max Payne 2. However, I noticed that in NHL 2004, the ice turns sort of red as the ice surface gets scratched up. It never did this with my GF3ti200. With the old card, the ice just looked more scratched...now it turns more scratched and pink. It's really the only issue I've noticed with the card. Any solutions?

Are you using latest drivers? Did you do a clean install when you went over to ATi from your Geforce card if not try Driver cleaner from here .

You could also try changing some settings in ATi control panel like texure, mip level detail etc and see if that helps.

I did a full uninstall, and I'm using the latest drivers from ATI's site as of 12/27. I'll try the mip level detail etc.... I already tried different levels of Anisotropic Filtering to no avail.

I did a full uninstall,

If you mean you just uninstalled Nvidia drivers via Add/remove programs icon,I suggest you download Driver Cleaner and follow the instructions, you`ll be surprised how many old Nvidia and even ATi files it finds.
