New 9500 Pro. Which drivers for games? Dx9?

The card came with Cat 2.4. I'm using Dx 8.1. Which drivers are best for game performance? My main concern is UT2003.

Go here and it has the latest DX9 and the new Cat 3.0 from ATIs website. Dont know if there the best but are the latest drivers!

hmmm i dont know.
i got the radeon9500pro couple of days ago.

but my counter-strike fps goes from 70 to 12 to 50.
i recently installed catalyst 3 and dx9.

either the drivers suck, or i need a faster CPU ( P4 1.4)
the weird thing is... i get the same fps in 640x480 and 1024x768 with 16AF on.
hehehe.

I'm currently running the 7.83 (6275) betas and they seem to run pretty good on my 9700 Pro. Better than the latest official drivers for sure.

Overall the Catalyst 3.0s are the best drivers from the official bunch and they're especially good for UT2003 as they're much faster than previous drivers.

Oh, and don't bother with DX 9.0 unless you absolutely have to see ATi's tech demos; the drivers will just fine with DirectX 8.x.
