trying to buy a new board from newegg, they cant seem to keep anything good with nforce chipset in stock so I'm tempted to buy the asus with the via....any reason I should wait for the msi nforce or somthing to be in stock?

Nforce3, in many many isolated incidents, was having probs with high end Nvidia cards. After extensive testing I found out I had this problem too, so I ordered an MSI VIA K8T800 Pro board, and lemme tell you Im glad I did. Its rock solid stable and overclocks GREAT, running 2.5ghz on a 2.0ghz Winchester 3200+. And even with an old BIOS that didnt recognize the new .90nm chip it still booted and let me do enough to flash to BIOS.

I may or may not go back to Nvidia when Nforce4 or 5 comes out in the future, because VIA has impressed me so much.

Asus board is prolly even better than MSI.
