A new bios is out for the 8RDA+. Dated 3/3/03, you can find it at two download locations on my bios page at www.8rdafaq.com. I was too lazy to dig up a direct link.

Here is the change list:
1/29/03 (8RDA3303)
Update BPL 2.89
Change CPU frequency update method
Updates ROMSIP & BPL to version 2.84
Changed default AGP aperture size from 32 to 64 MB
Solved issue from hanging during post "C1" when OC memory
Added IDE DMA transfer function support
Memory timings setting fail issue solved
Added Magic Health Support
USB Keyboard support item default changed to Enabled
Changed Athlon detection for new models and fixed ratio's
F10 Save CMOS / hang up issue solved

Real change list (incomplete):
1. Dual channel ddr enable/disable is shown at post
When saving the bios, the system exits the bios, waits, saves (red screen shows for a sec), then reboots. This is much safer for
2. The bios chip
3. Full screen logo option has been added. Not 100% sure what this is because I haven't tested it yet.

Excellent! Full-screen cheetah logo for me! 😎 I will have to try this out on my 8RDA+ soon.

Altho i flashed with no major issues other then XP re-detecting my LAN card, I am stuill stable at 11.5x200. However, there have been MANY reports of people having trouble with this BIOS. Sound skipping among other things. MIght want to sit this update out a few days till the jury is in. I flashed mine before I read some of the negatives, but so far it is fine for me.

Also, i think the fixes listed is for the 1/29 bios, not this one.

Flashed 3303 bios this morning. Only thing I notice is some kind of flash screen after post and before Windows. It is too quick for me to read. Not sure what is going on there. I'll pause it one of these times.

When going back to OC-land after this bios flash (flashed at with bios at optimized defaults), I did a few tests to see if I gained any wiggle room, but no change that I could tell.

I suppose I should read the list of fix-its instead of just updating willy nilly as soon as an update appears. But, hey, I like it fast and dangerous. Hehe.

i think im gona hold out updating to the latest bios. my system is running as stable as can can without a hiccup. knock on wood.
