I just installed my 7950.The usage keeps jumping for 60%-100%. It does this while both OC'd and not OC'd. My GTX 580 never did this. Is this normal?

Other than that, it's an amazing card. 28C idle and 60C full load @ 1200/1450. Game play is fine. I get about 55-80fps in bf3 multiplayer 1920x1080 with 4X AA.

system specs?

Your CPU could be bottle necking your GPU in BF3 multiplayer thus resulting in your GPU not needing to be at 100% usage to produce the frames your CPU allows.

that is wierd, does it happen in every game or just BF3?
it would be interesting to see the matching fps graph.

BF3 multiplayer is very CPU dependent, pretty much anyone with a powerful GPU will see somewhat of a CPU bottleneck. I would bet that if you overclocked that CPU your FPS would jump up. It will also utilize the GPU more in places where the CPU is a bottleneck.

Is it a boost card? Mine shows a drop in gpu load drop in msi afterburner when I drop off the boost state.
