Ok folks,

Friend of mine has a 3700+ ,vnf3 250 and a leadtech 6800 GT. The thing runs like crap, it gets 44k on aqua, cpu is pulling 10k plus, but gpu is a 6 or below.

Ive done it all, from bios updaes, to driver updates, Power supply. I want to recomend him a solid fail safe mb.

Any recomendations would be greatly appreciated

I love mine

But before changing, did he try installing the newest mobo chipset drivers from Nvidia? I know you said driver updates, but sometimes people forget to update these ones and they can affect performance substantially.

Thanks for the replys, turns out I needed the 7/29 bios, and yes after I installed that I forgot the darned chipset drivers. Which took care of the problem.

System runs out rather nice now,
