New 7 series card more than just 512mb memory?

I really dont expect an answer from Nvidia until the R580 shows up. Once they find out what the thing is they will plan accodingly. Right now the 7800 GTX competes very well with the X1800XT for 95% of situations out there.

I don't think Nvidia has to really respond to this line of products from ATI at all.

i'd say they'd like to hit back with a higher mem clock revision of the GTX so they can regain the no.1 slot in the single card solution field...at least most benchmark sites i read gave the overall performance crown to the x1800xt...of course this doesn't have to happen until november at least anyway....

It is all speculation, except for the 512MB card. That, at least, is already available. It is called the Quadro 4500. :)
