I just got done installing windows installed my wireless card driver, my video card driver and when I tried to install my Nf4 drivers nothing came up for 30 minutes. I then set it to high priority then it poped up I clicked install and it did'nt respond but installed the ethernet driver. So now I am sitting here trying to install things, run programs but nothing will work. I try and run apps they don't load, I try and install things they start to run but when they cop files or anyhting they freeze.

Amd 64 3000+ Winchister
Gigabyte mobo (Nforce 4 SLI)
1GB Corsair memory
60GB HD
xp-90 HSF w/ my own 80mm fan
Installed with Win XP corp 32bit

I don't know what eles to do. anyone got any ideas?

EDIT: Cpu-z poped up just as I finished this, only took 10 minutes! But yes everything else is not working, I try and activate windows and the windo is no where to be found.

did you do a format before the install ? sounds like a virus or spyware is trying to get to the internet, and without a working nic, it wouldn;t, but now that it has a connection, BAM, slowing you down trying to do something. I say format !

I had the ehternet plugged in but in order for it to work you have to install the nf4 drivers, windows can't install it. I will run an antivirus but it seems like nvraidservice is what was doing it and now it is just randomly restarting on it's own. Is there anyway to stop this service from running because that was making it lag so bad.

The services configuration applet is under the administrator tools (or whatever) section in the control panel.

EDIT: Oh yeah, run memtest86 for a while.

I got it, it happened to be the wireless card that came with the mobo, i guess it screwed something up but now it's working!
