<< The X20 differs from other GeForce3 based boards in some respects such as:

Not based on the reference design like many company use, completely original design.
Provides better 2D image quality at high resolution (1600x1200 or above).
Equipped with copper plates on memory chips, and Fluid Dynamic
Bearing (FDB) motor is used for the cooling fan aiming effective and silent cooling.
Requires external power supply besides AGP's for better stability on various platforms.
Word is that the X20's 2D image quality is excellent at very high resolutions as stated by the visitor who provided this information (1920x1440 75Hz 16bpp with a Sony GDM-F520 21-inch display). The street price of the card is around $500 dollars.

I didn't know they were still around either. I guess they've been up to something worthwhile though:cool:

Canopus has always been around, they just don't cater to the US anymore do to low sales output here. (Most ppl rather get a hercules or an ASus just cause of a fancy PCB over quality). They're GF3 cards are rumored to be 750 to 800 dollars US, but the Canopus cards are bred to propitary design rather than the regular refrence from the other brands.

Also read over at Insane Hardware,

<< A pic over at Akiba shows off the new Spectra X20 Geforce3 based video card. Sporting a standard memory clock of 526MHz (263MHz DDR) and some fairly big copper ramsinks, most people will drool over this one.... >>

Canopus has always been around and making cards. Some damn nice cards too.

Unfortunately they no longer cater to the North American market at all.

WTF? The Voodoo5 has been reincarnated! ;)

What about AGP Pro slots? Surely they have enough juice for it.
