I Like

Now I'd like them to update the damn design of the $1 bills. It annoys to no end all those Americans with even the slightest case of OCD...

Maybe they can spend another $20 million (or whatever it was) on advertising like they did on the new $20. Face it, if you don't know about a slightly changed US currency (ie the new $20 or $50) you probably haven't seen it because you live in a cardboard box on the street.

What a waste of taxes.

We tried to make $1 coins (gold Sacagewa), but that failed miserably. We Americans love our $1 bills.

Gotta take away the dollar bill for dollar coins to work.

Dollar bills are superior to dollar coins. Coins in general are a bitch to carry.

That what I was thinking. Is your governemtn still promoting the brass coins? or have they given up?

But its gonna happen soon. I mean, in 25-30 years $1 will be worth $0.5 of today's dollars, and who wants to carry $0.50 bills?

Uhh...I would. Bills are much more convenient to carry than coins. I've personally thought 50 cent bills should be available since I first learned about money as a kid.

They gave up. But they're not brass. They're actually some funky kind of alloy. (titanium i think)

I dunno if that's true for most poeple. Here Canadian Tire (a store) likes to give out 5, 10 and 25 cent bills (redeemable at the store, sort of like the points other stores have) whenever you make a purchase. Of course, most poeple just throw these in the garbage, or the charity collection boxes they have near the cashiers....

This is hliarious. The government comes out with a new looking currency and everyone starts drooling. Talk about sheeple, if the government started making money out of sticks of wood people will probably start accepting it.

I fuggin' hate government money, it's so damn sleazy. That's why I set up a micro-economy in my neighborhood using digital currencies. Everything is backed by gold. j/k, but I will some day. :)

If you started to learn about money as a kid, why did you stop learning? The fact that you like these new 50 dollar bills means you don't know all the dark and dirty secrets about government money.
