BTW, I ordered one of these last week, have not yet received it (ground shipping from West Coast to East Coast, etc.), so don't know yet how good it is... But I've been looking for a black rack cabinet for my PC to go with my video and stereo equipment... No power supply included...

Yes, but I think most notice this is about the cheapest price on any 4u rack mount case that you will come across. If ya can find a better price with or without a PS I am sure we will be all ears. 🙂

Besides, why pay $10, $20, or $30 extra for a crappy supply to be included when you can buy a good one for only a little more.

where can you find short racks to put these in? i found one a while back that was like 20-25u tall cube on casters with a lockable door but forgot where...
 
Racks can usually be found locally. It's funny (and yet sad) because companies throw them away (because they are bulky), and then buy new ones later for a few hundred.

I'm looking at making a mobile unit...SKB Shock Case should fit these.
 
Got my case yesterday, wasn't exactly as pictured, but I ain't complaining. I really like the case. Was a very good deal for $101shipped. Now just to find a rack for this and the rest of my home theater components, 🙂. Although cost wise that is prolly a little ways off from here.

hmm this isnt that hot, they can be found on ebay all the time for $80ish w/o powersupply, I nabbed one a ew months ago (looks ident.) for $67 after s/h..

if you want just a rack, not a cabinet, there's always short 2' tall or so racks on ebay for $29 I think it was, or otherwise radioshack has small racks on casters, meant for dj/pa equip, but they're all 19".

Front fold down door is different, and the inside of mine is mostly unpainted unlike the one shown in that efart ad, where that is all black INSIDE. But that is the case!!! So please sirjay school us in efart'ng, please...

well, why dont you search the completed auctions, since they're the bet way to judge prices..

high quality/name brand CHEMBRO 1 bid, ended at $45...

Another good brand if you know rackmount equip.. A-TOP $70 and some change.....

I wasnt thread crapping, just stating that that deal was warm at best, there are many deals to be had on rackmount cases...
