My 22inch wide screen will only now run 1400X1050 . There is no choice of 1900x1200 and the monitor is seen as "default pnp monitor". How do I get my res. back to 1900x1200?

22inch monitors usually only run as high as 1680x1050. Which monitor is this?

21.5 asus vh242 widescreen 1080p HD. Is this a monitor driver issue? or a GPU one? Because as soon as I put the card in I installed the drivers off of the CD. Although I am on windows 7, I chose the x64 vista choice.

Install the latest drivers for Win 7......?

Did you completely uninstall the old ones?

Updating utility fixed the issue. Thanks. Going to run some benchmarks and realtemp to confirm everything is working correctly.

JW though..I did but the OC version of this...is there a need for me to OC any further to get any more performance?

Pay attention to what hardware you own. You have a 1920x1080 monitor, not a 1920x1200. Of course 1920x1200 wont show. Your monitor doesn't support that resolution.

Edit: And if you actually got it to work, it's going to look like shit with compressed pixels. Run it at your native resolution.

You shouldnt need to OC any higher. However, this is an enthusiast board, so many of us do.

Please listen to this man. Don't run this monitor at 1900x1200. It's 16:9, not 16:10.

Don't worry, you're not losing any definition.

Yeah, as was suggested earlier, updating your drivers should have fixed the issue. Also, pay close attention to the actual specs of your monitor. I know lots of 720p/1080i monitors/TVs that have really odd resolutions that are neither. Also, if it is truly just a monitor and not a TV, you can likely go to the manufacturer's site and get a driver inf file and a ICC color profile to install as well to optimize the output for your screen and the exact modes it supports (which should be reported back via DPMS, a monitor communication protocol).
