The xbox.com forums are a good place to start :). They are as pitiful as the playstation.com forums, but you asked for fanboy, so you'll get fanboy.

My only real question is why would someone want to visit sites so completely biased? I suppose the rare exclusive first look or something of that nature, but any good gaming site will likely point you to it.

because there are many things that the general gaming sites won't tell you. Such as using a standard HDMi cable and the composite wire the came with the system to do 5.1 without buying the expensive MS or Monster branded accessories.

I don't believe they are overly bias if you pick the right sites, you just get the most specialized stories. I read Joystiq/Xbox360Fanboy/Kotaku a lot, and then PS3/Wii/DS/PSP fanboy for those respective consoles.

Thats what I'm saying, is that Joystiq and other non-specific sites will do a good job of pointing you to anything worth noting on the specific sites. Sure you might miss a bit here and there but its never anything worth really caring about so its not like you're really missing anything. It sounds like I'm trying to argue against going to those sites, which I'm really not, just kinda curious about it I guess since it doesn't make that much sense to me.

In my experience its the other way around. The people on a specific gaming site tend to be people who don't have the most diverse knowledge (I found this very true when it came to anything related to setting up home theater stuff and connecting systems to it). The same is true when it came to anything beyond just the gaming stuff (such as movie watching, streaming media, etc). I'm not saying you're wrong, just stating that what I've experienced has been different.

Completely agree. Fanboy sites seem to usually have an overly narrowminded audience with limited knowledge.

The purpose of xboxscene is not to teach the average hobo how to connect his xbox to his TV. It's how to do things with his xbox that normal people will never tell you in a million years. like how to use a different HDD than the standard MS one, how to swap DVD-Rom drives and whatnot.

I find Kotaku carries just about every major story that I need to know about. A lot of people here post their news links from Ars Technica, so I've been meaning to add that to the regular viewing rotation, it just hasn't happened, yet.

better to use the forums at gamefaqs.com IMO.

I'm an IGN insider member and find some of their game info pretty useful with lots of vids etc. I get it free thanks to comcast.

It is fanboy because 360 is winning in a poll? Doesn't that just mirror sales reality?

As to whether it mirror's sales is debatable since there are so many different #s floating. That can be an endless debate that has been done numerous times. As far as fanboy a quick perusal of threads would suggest a strong sony animosity here.

You're right. Both consoles are completely equal. Now let's join hands, sing Kumbaya, and never pass judgment on inanimate objects with definable strengths and weaknesses.

This is quite possibly the most fanboyish post in this thread. Open your eyes! :)
