I got a new Falcon Pro system for Xmas (manufactured in 9/2008) and have noticed that it freezes sometimes during loading transitions on several games. The DVD drive seems to stop spinning and the game goes no further than the loading screen. The system doesn't seem to freeze completely, as I can return to the dashboard or turn off the console using the controller.
So far, it's just been in 2 games - Madden '09 and NCAA Football 2008. It's frustrating, as I can finish a game, but it freezes during the main menu load and I am unable to save. Madden '09 came new with the system and NCAA '08 was purchased used. Lego Indiana Jones also came new with the system and it has not frozen once with 25+ loads.
Is this just a game-specific problem or could it be a hardware issue? I've noticed no other problems with the game, just random freezing during loading from the disc.
