New 2D Worms Game Announced For PC

Twitter, the best place to announce new games, has dropped a new gem on the masses. Joystiq spotted a tweet coming from developer Team17's Twitter account announcing a new 2D Worms title for the PC through Valve's digital distribution system, Steam.

"We are pleased to announce a new edition of 2D Worms for PC! "Worms Reloaded" is coming soon via Steam. Details & features to follow..."

I just bought the Worms remake from PSN (which is great BTW), so i'm hoping the PC version isn't just a remake of the original again and actually contains some new gameplay features or something. We all know the original formula is good, but IMO it needs to have something to differentiate it from all of the remakes already out there.

OMG yes! I was thinking about this yesterday, like how much it would be to buy the game rights from Team17.

Awesome! If it's 15 or less it's mine! I'd maybe spring at 20 still, but would have to try to reason with myself a bit
