New 27" & 21.5" iMacs' GPU: Mobile or desktop chips?

Some think the new iMacs still have mobile Radeon HD GPUs in them. That makes sense, but does anyone know for sure?

According to Netkas, it sounds like at least that one is the mobile GPU. It's clocked at 680/790 rather than 750/800.

Radeonhd 4670 in Imacs is mobility card, its clock speed is 680 for core, 790 (1580) for memory.

Desktop’s 4670 card have 750/800, core clock of desktop 4650 – 600.

So performance should be between desktop’s 4650 and 4670.

Thanks. That means my 4850 (if the thing ever gets shipped) will probably be clocked at around 500 MHz, not 625.

Strange that the Mobile 4670 is clocked at 680/790 MHz though. I thought they were supposed to be 675/800, no?

Well they're just binned and differently clocked versions of the same core that goes in to their desktop counterparts. So really Apple can clock them however they'd like, although it does make a mess of things.
