A few months ago I talked about getting a mustang. Well I picked it up a few days ago with 20 miles on it.

It's a white 2012 V6 mustang with the appearance package, 6 speed manual and 3:31 gears. I freaking love it. It's fast, gets great gas mileage, is a blast to drive and is cheaper to fill up than my old jetta that required premium.

Only dislikes so far is that getting into first is a little notchy sometimes. Also the RPM and MPH displays are reversed from what I am used to. I prefer the speedometer on the right side of the dash but on the mustang it's on the left.

i used to be all about mustangs (still am really, just don't own one now) and it's about damn time they gave the v6 some balls. not to mention dual exhaust. most 4cyl grocery getters come with dualies now!

nice car!

It's a base Mustang? I have a 12 GT, love it so far. Just wish it's a little bit smaller. Check your oil level, lots of Mustang are a little short on oil right out of the factory.

Just hope your Chinese transmission doesn't start grinding...

I for one hate it when cars use the brake lights as turn signals (they should be amber, god damnit!), but I like how the mustangs have the little animation.

Nice! I had a 1986 Mustang GT with the 4.9^H^H^H 5.0 V8, and the 2012 V6 is better in all ways.

Awesome. I'd love a new Mustang. And like you said the V6 is no slouch these days and a great bang for buck.

good choice what is the mpg?
MPG is rated 21/31. I've only done about 75 miles so far so I don't have any hard data yet.

Just wish it's a little bit smaller.
Yeah it's weird to have a two door that's bigger than my old 4 door, but I guess that's just part of the muscle car body. It looks bigger than it feels when driving, if that makes any sense. In fact I am VERY impressed with the turn radius. I feel like I can U turn just as sharp as my old car.

I am very satisfied with the engine. Yes a GT would have been awesome but I just wasn't willing to pay the extra $8k for it plus higher insurance and everything else. I was casually looking at 2005-2010 GT's but it's the same power as my new V6 with much worse gas mileage and ancient technology for the engine. Also I think the new bodystyle is much sharper and the enterior is 10 times better than the previous gen. All in all I feel like I got the perfect car I was looking for.

Great car, but the color and stripes kinda ruin the exterior. In terms of the interior, performance, bang-for-buck, and fuel economy it's very good, though.

Beautiful car. I know the v6 is cheaper, better gas mpg, more than enough power but it's almost criminal that you didnt get the v8. I have a '11 f150 with the 5.0 and it's awesome whenever I hit the gas and hear the motor. I could only imagine driving around a new mustang with one.

Yes, it doesn't feel big when you are actually drive it. It's very nimble for such a big car. The Mustang is chubby, the Camaro is fat and the Challenger is a pig. I love the 2010+ body style as well. The 05-09 is too retro for me.

I like it, hard to go wrong with sub 6 second 0-60 times and that kind of fuel economy. As a suggestion, tinted windows and maybe some custom pin-striping the length of the car (high on the fenders and quarter panels) would make it stand out from the crowd..

Mine does :(

I'd recommend getting synthetic transmission fluid on your first oil change. There is a TSB for it and it will make the transmission much smoother.

nice car!

You do know it's just one pipe split into two outputs. Not a true dual.

I'd love to get a V6 Mustang. Could never afford the insurance on one though. :\

are you < 21 or have a history of at fault accidents? The insurance on my 2011 5.0 was only $10/month more than for my civic. :awe:
