does that just mean new stepping or what and why would they post a new one every stepping advance or is that normal ?

They are both D1 stepping processors. There are no differences as far as I can see...even the thermal specifications are the same.

A gut feeling tells me that it might be better to get the SL6WJ processor though. Intel would be tightening up the bin splits in order to make way for the 3.2GHz processor, so overclocking headroom might be a little less on the SL6WT. Let's hope this line of reasoning is wrong and that the SL6WT gets just as good overclocks.
