new 1700+ question

Hi all, just grabbed a 1700+ dlt3c jiuhb for my media center rig to be paired with 512 2100, 120gb Maxtor, MSI K7N2 Delta, 2000XP Tuner...pretty chillin eh? Now my question is I had this board running at 11x200 previous with my 2500+, but the cool thing I guess is now I just booted for the first time and it was set to 11x200 with all the same settings as previously...2200mhz default vcore killer timings....etc...is this normal for a bios to hold that info even though there's a new cpu in there????

Either way I'm smiling, just curious 🙂

The multiplier of the 1700+ is 11, so no surprise there, the 1700+ being able to run 2.2gig @1.5vcore is quite a feat, if in fact that is what it reads with the motherboard monitor, and is actually being fed 1.5vcore.

I have a 0310 DLT3C 1700+ that has been doing 2.2gig @1.6vcore now for about nine months, and I though that was great. my other 1700+ is an 0312 DLT3C and takes 1.65vcore to accomplish 2.2gig, it runs 2.0gig @1.5vcore in my second machine that only has a 235watt PSU.

I've horse traded many a 1700+ and these two are the best I have come across.
