New 17" MBP has tilted screen

Just received delivery of my CTO 17" MBP and noticed the screen is slightly tilted in the aluminum case. There is probably a 1/8" difference between the left and right hand side.

I really don't want to have to wait another 10 days for a CTO machine to be shipped out so I am thinking about simply returning this one and going down to my local Apple store to purchase one.

My question is, will Apple charge me a restocking fee in this case? Can I return my CTO machine to the Apple store as well?

Stop using it. Put it down, close the lid, walk away. In fact, put it back in the box. You do not want to give the Genius any inclination that this was caused by you dropping it.

Now do this.

Take the CTO machine to the Apple store (make an appointment). Hand over the MacBook Pro, hand over the delivery receipt showing that it just arrived. Is there any chance that you took pictures of it as you were unwrapping it? If you did, show them those. Explain the problem. Be calm and rational. Ask them to replace the screen. They should almost certainly replace the screen (unless you are in Nashville, in which case book an early morning weekday appointment, my sister says you get the best service that way there). If they don't, call Apple Support, let them know the problem, tell them that the store wouldn't replace it because 'blah blah blah'.

Yep, make an appointment on Apple's site and take it to the Genius bar the first moment you can.
