Just got my new replacement board for my gigabyte p67a-ud3. All seemed good loaded up to windows no problems until i went into bad company 2 with in an hour i got a bsod. The first stop code was 0x124. So i did some troubleshooting but i wanted to see if you guys may know anything i may have missed.

First i ran prime for 24 hours, Next i ran memtest in window for 12 hours all passed no problem. Finally i reinstalled all my drivers, from video card to main board drivers. Only thing i haven't tried is a clean install of windows which i may do tomorrow but i know that isn't going to fix it.

Now before got my replacement board my old p67a-ud3 ran great overclocked to 4.2 with no problems and now bsod with it at default settings with the new board. Plz let me know if i missed anything or should i start the rma process again.

It's OC related, I am pretty sure. I had the same error and bumping up the cpu voltage usually fixes the issue.

gaming issues are such a bitch to run down
did you use same HDD exactly as is?
I'm thinking a fresh install might actually work
Win does know you have a dif mobo - most peeps have to revalidate.

I'd just RMA it. I had issues with my original UD3 as well. After a ton of swapping parts, replaced the board and issues went away.

Memory tests that run in windows are not particularly effective at detecting errors since they can test only small areas at a time rather than nearly everything. It's better to boot Memtest86 or 86+ from a CD or flash drive.

Prime95 is more of a burn in test of the motherboard at near maximum power.

I suspect differences in BIOSes or voltage levels for the CPU or memory. The motherboard's monitoring hardware is unlikely to be accurate enough to reliably report such differences, meaning you'll need to measure with a good digital meter.

Don't want to jump the gun but thanks i think you saved me from rma. Played 45 mins no crash after uninstalling gigabyte easytune 6. Damn do i hate pb always does more bad then good. Going to image my computer back to what it was before the reinstall of windows and play a little longer tonight when i have more time.
