I will also be interested in the interior and the how the engine is packaged. The current Tacoma is showing it's age way too much these days...and is way overpriced for what it offers. The only things going for the current model is reliability and looks. Power, functionality, interior space, etc. are all lacking.

Sad - it has a better interior than the Camry.

Well, even the new Solara has a better interior the Camry. As does the new 4-Runner, and most new Toyota models that are coming out. Remember, the Camry came out in '01 as an '02 model so it's due for a redesign shortly.

The current dash was a step backwards from the 01 model IMO (my uncle has a 2001) - I guess I have a horrendous bias against it after feeling like I was in some car that should have been released in the early '90s.

Yeah, the current Camry has that "old man's" dash.
