Neverwinter Nights, Morrowind, Dungeon Seige

Dungeon Seige!!!!

Not looking as forward as much to the other games, although they all look good.

😀 All of them eventually, but in order it will likely be: Morrowind, Neverwinter Nights, Dungeon Siege. Hehe...if Morrowind lives up to its potential then in the tradition of Daggerfall I could still be playing it long after I'm done with the other two.

Hey you forgot Might & Magic 9 being released on 28th March 😉,I`m probably getting all four 🙂.

I was not impressed with the last M&M release at all and I don't think it will compare with any of these three titles.
But they could surprise, I doubt it though.

All of them look awesome. Probably will get all three, in this order were they to come out at the same time:

1. Never Winter Nights
2. Dungeon Siege
3. Morrowind

The latest M&M release has a whole new graphics engine. The pics looks great. I guess it all depends which perspective you like better, first person or over head. I'll be picking up both M&M9 and Dungeon Siege for sure. I'll wait and see how Morrowind is reviewed. Isnt Nevre Winter nights still a long time from release?

Dungeon Siege will probably be too simplistic and action-heavy to catch my interest. Morrowind looks awesome, though! MM9 looks somewhat decent but unless they do something radically different in the game design I'll wait for MM10.

I pre-ordered Dungeon Seige and NWN many months ago. Morrowind comes from a company that doesn't mind releasing incomplete games, so I'll wait and see before I commit there. I hope it's as good as the hype though. MM9 is a maybe. IWD2 is a probably. There are too many RPGs coming out at basically the same time. Now where am I gonna find time to play all these games is the real question. NWN is expected 6/28/2002 for those asking.

Who owns the rights to Shadowrun? It pisses me off to see so many quality D&D-based CPRGs being release with no sign of a Shadowrun game in sight.

The ShadowRun environment would be great for gaming, but I wouldn't trust just anyone to make that seeing how the SpellJammer line came out. I'll float that question in the Bioware area next time I'm there.

IIRC, NWN is expected to be release in the May/June 2002 time frame. Bioware claims to be on schedule... time will tell.

What about IWD2? I for one, am looking forward to it. I like IWD alot.... not as deep as BG2, but alot of fun anyway - good art, music and atmosphere. It is a linear dugneon crawl but a good one. IWD2 is adding alot of 3E features for better or worse, that is the trend.

I think I'm most exicted about the Dungeon Siege release. I prefer games like D2 to Balder's Gate, so I think Dungeon Siege will be a better fit for me.

Dungeon Siege looks beautiful, but it is more of a hack'n'slash type game.
Neverwinter Nights astounds me in its potential.
I unfortunately would not have enough time for Morrowind.

I'm with Pakaderm, I'm into more of a hybrid, RPG/Action games like Diablo2, but
I'm waiting anxiously for Dungeon Seige but more so, I can't wait until Medeival: Total Ware comes out
(i always mispell that for some reason).

Isnt Medival: Total War an RTS/TBS hybrid?

As for the three in question here, i am looking forward to all three in following order of anticipation:

Morrowind
NWN
Dungeon Seige

Morrowind is a lock for a buy (and since they are realeasing both XBox and PC same time i doubt their will be any major bugs - atleast i hope so). NWN is also a good bet but dungeon seige is not a sure one for me.

Sharowrun for the SNES and Genisis remain two of my top all time video games.

<< Who owns the rights to Shadowrun? >>

Nevermind, I just answered my own question. It's Microsoft :|...I should have known the Evil Empire was behind this. I guess we can kiss any chance of a Shadowrun CRPG goodbye now.

Is Dungeon Siege going to be a "single player" game with "multiplayer" capability, or is it an online multiplayer only game?

I like games which have a strong single player campaign primarily.

Both ,

<<
The single player component of Dungeon Siege will contain 30-60 hours of game play. The multiplayer world is even larger than single player
