The other day, I was banned because of a little misshap. A mod thought I was someone who usually nefs, and then proceeded to ban me. Now that person happend to be my friend, that convinced me into coming back after a 2 year leave to another forum. If that mod just took a little time and looked at the IP's he would have seen that they were different and that that one person could not have posted my message and his message.

:) they should not have been duplicated IP's The whole lab is on one network, but each computer has different IP's.

But hey, we are not all perfect accidents do happen.........

Peace, God Bless America,
Strider

Sorry you got caught in the crossfire when your duplicate IP addresses within a couple of minutes looked suspicious, but you also know we straightened it out almost immediately.

We are just volunteers. We are not perfect, but we try very hard to maintain some sanity on a very large forum.

I like how AT Forums are moderated - but often they are moderated too much... Like when they banned me for a PG-13 comment...

but it's great when they ban the people that try to advertise here

All I know is that Viper GTS should not have been booted! He's the most level-headed person I know here. He always has something good to say. He's also simply one of the pillars of ATOT; it ain't the same ATOT without him.

I had virtually the exact same problem with my Brooks username. Although there was no real way for the mods to believe me they banned my username because my brother was using the same IP with a new account that he used to trash some people. Mods saw they were the same IP and without any care in the world promptly proceeded to ban me - nevermind the fact that I had never, ever acted like that in the past.
