Problem solved. Was a known issue with the WickedGL drivers.
Help! Half-Iife wont accept the Voodoo 3 as a 3d accelerator. When I select the 3dfx minidriver and any resoltion it says, "that OpenGL mode is not supported by your video card". Any Ideas? Thanks.
EDIT- ive tried reinstalling both HL and the lastest (also the last?) V3 drivers
