Hiya networking gurus....

**got it working with a little help from SMC tech support (very good support in this case, IMHO)**
We just got in our DSL modem.... I've hooked it up to one of the computers, but I don't have any instructions on how to set it up using the router, and I'm new to the whole DSL thing (living in my small city I'm surprised we could get it!). Anyway, here's some of the info I'm guessing you might need.... please help if you can! 🙂

ADSL, no static IP
External DSL modem
SMC Barricade router
functional network
Win 98SE

OK.... I've got it working great on the one comp.... I've just left the router completely out. I've hooked up the router, and everything seems fine, but I cannot connect to anything and I'm pretty clueless if I need to configure anything to work with the router. As it stands, its... Wall->DSL modem->NIC...... piece of cake, took no time. What do I need to do to get the DSL working with the router? Should it be as easy as without? When I did hook up the router, I hooked it up in this order..... Wall->DSL modem->Router->NICs of the 3 comps...... correct, right? Need to change any setting? All the lights on the router and modem are on..... everything seems fine. A router is invisible, like a hub, right? I didn't have any config instructions and haven't done anything to my network settings..... please help.... I'll stop rambling now. I'll be searching some websites also, but haven't found a good step by step in any of the forums I've been to...

Thanks...

Hex..
