/EDITED...

Wow, people really get worked up over this stuff. I figured before I pay for something, maybe I could ask to see if someone could help out a fellow oldtimer Anandtech member as a "friend" would. Oh well... I was able to find my information anyway on another forum.

if you're looking to spend several thousand dollars on a car, then is spending an extra $20 or whatever it costs for carfax reports really too much?

Yeah, for some reason that's frowned upon around here. I was chastised for asking for one a few months back.

you are asking for something for free when somebody else paid for it.

delete your txt in your thread before you get a vacation. seen it before as others have said.

You must be that same jack-off, who goes to every car lot, demanding a carfax on every car you look at. Here's a clue. Try narrowing it down to the car you really want to buy, then how about paying for the carfax, or ask the dealer to provide one?

We used to be cool back in the day man... I was just asking for some help that's all. I didn't know it was taboo around here. And for your information, I am not buying from a dealer.
