i just upgraded my video card from a geforce3 ti-200 to a radeon 9600 (compliments of BB's black friday sale).

i had a little trouble disattaching the geforce3 ti-200 when i pulled it out to sell it to someone. a plastic piece broke off from my motherboard (near the AGP slot?). anyhow, i plugged the geforce3 card back in and it worked fine so i sold it on the spot. then i plugged in my radeon today and installed the drivers. i'm looking at my monitor right now at what i swear is 60hz refresh rate. i changed it to 85hz again but it looks exactly the same. i used to be able to tell the difference between 60 and 85 no problem. could i have broken something so that the refresh rates are messed up? is there any way to actually test the refresh rate on my monitor? because it's claiming to be 85 but what i'm seeing is 60. thanks!

Don

edit: my roommate fixed it for me ... for some reason it says 85 when i go to my monitor settings but i have to go to the ATI control panel and set it the specific monitor to 85 (not 60). not very intuitive
