Nevermind was a great album, but Kurt, not so much.

I liked Kurt & his music. After he finally succeeded in suicide, my opinion changed and it was negative. Occasionally I listen to the music, but it just does not sound the same as it once did to me.

Seems like I've heard people say something about Walmart and all the Niger dollars.

Wait, nevermind.

Careful. Your sense of humor skirts an electfied line of demarcation here.

They're slow, I'm still waiting for my money. I'll need it to pay off the guy from Microsoft who fixed my computer. The program should be on it's way soon.

I liked Cobain and his music until he tried numerous times to kill himself. Thats just my honest opinion, take it for what it is.
And yet retards think he was murdered. It's not common knowledge, really, but a quick skim of his bio shows you he tried committing suicide at least once before he actually died. Conspiracy nutters are hilarious.

Im not googling, Im just going by my recollections from 20 years ago, but I had heard at the time he idolized the rock stars who overdosed at young ages and wanted to be like them. He figured he reached the top and wanted to die there.

When the numerous OD attempts failed he tried a more direct approach. It speaks for itself, agree or disagree it is what it is, tragic.

Fixed for historical accuracy. :sneaky:

It's sad you would let such a thing affect your opinion of his body of work.

I've been calling that album vastly overrated for many years. People say Nirvana knocked G&R off the throne, but that's bullshit. Appetite For Destruction still sounds like a masterpiece, and even a mortally wounded G&R was still putting out some occasionally amazing shit when Nevermind came around.

Axl Rose knocked G&R off the throne, and Nirvana released SLTS at just the right time. I'll still listen to any G&R when it comes on the radio, but Nirvana? I almost always switch. Test of time, yo.

I'm reminded of the Rolling Stone list that had Cobain at like the #17 guitarist ever, while Eddie Van Halen was like #75. S******. Chortle. Guffaw.
