Nevermind, stupid question. Ignore me

So I got my BFG 6800 GT, played with it for a few days, used coolbits to take it to 400/1100 (it told me 432/1110 was max, so I dropped it a little) and just downloaded HL2 silver.

I was playing the game last night at 16x12, everything up at max, 4x aa, 8x as. I dropped off the aa and as eventually and noticed no iq degredation (maybe just my eyes..) Anyway, every few min there is a quick stutter in the game. This stutter is only sound related and does not effect movement. It lasts for less than a second and usually consists whatever prevalent sound repeating itself briefly. I have some ideas as to what it could be, and I wanted to run it by you guys.

1. I am assuming it is not the 6800 as that should be no prob running the game but I wanted to make sure.

2. Ram, I only have 512 right now (the other 512 is in a package under my tree... ARRRG!!)

3. HDD speed. It is running off a maxtor 250gb 8mb cache, but could that still not be enough?

just curious what you guys thought and wanted to make sure it is not the card. BTW, UT2K4 at 16x12, max settings, 4xaa 8xas is a beaut and buttery smooth on this card.

I thinmk this the standard sound stutter that people all have. It's due to the quicksaves or something. I don't think it's your system unless it's happening all the time.

oh.... that could definitly be that case, I was not aware of a sound issue others were having (should have searched more than just the video forum...). I will check tonight to see if there are saves associated with the time of the shutter. Thanks for that, gives me something to look into.

EDIT** LOL, just googled the sound stuttering issue... now I am embarrassed about even posting it. Next time I will google before posting...
