I heard from some people that the philosopher Notrous Damus (no idea about spelling), who is said to have predicted the Holacaust and other things like that made some statement like this in his day:

(a generalization, lots of missing spots and not word-for-word):

In the ninth month of the first year of the new millenium, the twin brothers of the new city of York will fall...

I hadn't heard anything about that til yesterday in school...and nearly half the classroom had heard that including the teacher...

there have been a LOT of posts about this..i think they've all been shot down pretty quickly.

Nostradamus died in 1566, while this quote has been rumored to date to 1645.

Jesus Christ! This thing has been posted like 50 times. It's a hoax. It was actually a quote from a guy's report on Nostradamus in 1993.

Exactly, but it was Notre Damus and he said, The score will be 11-9 in the Suoer Bowl. He was wrong, though.

The student wasn't trying to make a prediction. He was displaying how easy it was to make vague statements that could later be seen as predictions. You ever notice how Nostradamus's predictions are only considered predictions AFTER an event has occurred? If they're predictions shouldn't we see the event coming?

JESUS CHRIST people. Calm down. I did a search, but since I coudn't spell this guy's name correectly, I couldn't find anything. Saying it's been posted is one thing. Being an ass about it is another. Thank you for the information...those who were just being smartasses....you've gotta find something better to do with your time.
