Hi. My system specs include a Shuttle ak31 rev3.1 mobo, Athlon 950mhz cpu @ 7.5x140 = 1050mhz, OCZ PC2400 256mb stick, Crucial Micron 256mb stick, radeon 8500 retail, and latest ati displayer drivers, and a 40 gig maxtor 7200rpm hdd. Anyhow... Since I've installed this crucial stick (btw.. system is loading stuff way faster now) in OpenGL games it is giving me artifacts. Hell, at the main screen in the games (Serious Sam 2 and Wolfenstein MP test) it is doing this. It's like parts of the things on the screen are flying places. Direct3d games are working fine. Also, Counter-Strike works fine as well (and it's OpenGL). Any ideas? My video card is at default speed. It almost seems like there is a conflict with the memory or info. isn't coming out right or something. Serious Sam 2 worked great last night... all I changed was adding the crucial stick. I am going to un-install the OCZ ram (the proven ram in this system) and see if the crucial by itself is making the artifacts... but I don't think it's the memory. I have the latency set to 2 and it is very stable at cas 2. The artifacts still appear when using cas 2.5 Any suggestions or similar experiences would be helpful. Thanks.
