In 'Dune Encyclopedia' (I dunno the author), there weas an entire structural chemical formula for 'spice', as wella s a great many other things.

 
Star Wars was supposed to be part of the Dune universe, but when Obi Wan's disembodied spirit said, "Use the Spice Luke!" someone threw a fit and the rest is just history. Okay, that was a lie.
 
Oh and it also makes your eyes extremely blue. Blue to the point where they appear to glow.

It gives the spacing guild the ability to fold space, travelling across great distances without moving.

The Dune game for Sega Genesis was so l33t. It was like the first RTS game like warcraft that I had ever seen. Who cares about the movie, the game was great.

i remember spending countless hours playing Dune 2: Battle for Arakis on my 386DX 40Mhz 🙂

the first Dune was fun too, but it was an adventure game
