Never trust the gas pump...

I was at 7-11 getting gas..

And I guess the handle didn't automatically clunk off...

So I look, voila, gas is spraying out of my gas tank everywhere...

There's this novel concept called "Paying Attention" - you might want to try it the next time you're handling combustables, mmkay?

Hey, shove it up your a$$ dickhead. I was watching but the fact is I had no idea anything was wrong until it started spraying.

if it doesn't automatically shut off, how's he supposed to know when the tank is full?

One time I was talking to someone pumping gas, and I noticed it when the back of my pants got soaked!! (Was leaning against my car pumping)

thats exactly the reason why there are laws in some stats that make it llegal to have have the punp going without you holding the handle

pay attention to it. Its really not that hard to do.

Have you ever prepaid inside and gotten a full tank of gas by accident?

I paid for $10 and got around $30 worth of gas because the machine didnt shut off.

Listen for it. In my car, the sound of the gas filling goes up in pitch once is about done and clicks off. Granted it's not easy to hear it.

I did have this happen to me before as well, so now I just try to calculate it so I know when (1-2 gal before full) to get back onto the handle.

Paying attenention won't stop it from it initially spraying all over the place. It will just prevent a bigger mess.

had one today that couldnt decide when to shut itself off. So to prevent spillage I just turned the ignition and judged by the fuel gauge as it went up 😛 😀
