Never thought I would see a sports play again like the immaculate reception....

Wow.. I thought it was clearly late but the replay shows he got it off. Funny how the ref cowers and covers his head as the fans rush the court, then he realizes 'WTF am I doing' and starts acting normal

It didn't look like he got the shot off in time.
Frame-by-frame, at least at Youtube quality:\, there are 2 frames of video, and one interlaced half-frame, where the timer shows :00.0 while his hands are still on the ball. Only on the 4th frame does it look like the ball leaves his hands.
Damn close.

They do a better replay later in the clip. Replaying with youtube I didn't think he had it, but the high quality replay clearly shows he did

It looks like the clock on the replay is slightly out of sync with the one that the TV station overlaid in the regular broadcast. 😳 (I'm talking somewhere around 1-2 hundredths of a second here.)

A fine last-ditch effort. 🙂

In both the slow motion replays it appears the lights on the baskets turn red a fraction of a second before he gets the ball out of his hands.

Pretty awesome reflexes though!

Meh. There are a lot of last second shots made in basketball every year. This one was pretty good and entertaining to watch. But I wasn't blown away by it. JMO.

Watching it again, don't get why the guy who picked off the in bound pass didn't just keep it.

Was in too big of a hurry to celebrate. If you're going to pull that move before the horn sounds, you better launch that ball up as high as you can so the remaining time ticks off before the ball comes back down.

But given that the guy did have the ball and gave it back, and the awesomeness of the shot, I'm OK with letting it count even if he let it go a microsecond late. It was not indisputably late, so let it count.

Looks like he was moving to the middle of the court trying to make some sort of signal and just about got leveled by the crowd. Fled to a neutral part of the court to regroup.

Yeah the clock above the basket is at 0.0 before he shoots the ball, but the TV timer still says 0.1. I dunno which one they go by.

Damn, this is high school ball? Is this a high school gym, or this a final being played in some small arena? The coverage looks really professional.
