FWIW, I contacted their support to see what they say about retroactive bundles. Could be interesting.

Ryan just had to add the retroactive. But as he said there is no way amd could have added bf4 so close to release.

On contrary its fantastic we get it already! Its THE GAME of the year. Getting it now is stellar.

Would you prefer amd waited 2 months extra?

Early adopters always pay. Why shouldnt they?

Never buying amd again.

Have had my 290s since first up on newegg. Have owned for less than 4 days. And they pull this [redacted]?

Profanity isn't allowed in the technical forums.

Stalhart, if you see this I apologize. Was not aware. Won't happen again.

Sure early adopters pay, but usually not so blatantly lol. 1 week after launch and "bam" game bundles for all!

Yeah I'm raging so damn hard right now and have been for almost a month. Bought my 780 Classifieds and then later on out comes the nvidia holiday bundle.

I'm so mad I could scream! I mean, who knew video cards get bundles on and an on/off basis...

None one saw this coming. Except for anyone who's not completely stupid.

I think he's being sarcastic.

To be safe, I'm going to counter it.

The bundle is out, less than a week after release. That's pretty damn arrogant of AMD. Bundles are fine. But to screw customers within a week of purchase is pretty damn stupid of them.

What is an acceptable time frame for you? 3 weeks? A month? A year? No matter when bundles are released, someone is not going to be happy because bundles come and go.

Not at all, I bought two 7950s on release for $579. A month latter they dropped almost $200 each.

That's understandable.

But providing a free bundle less than a week that the card has been out, hell less than a week that REVIEWS have been out. Is pretty arrogant.

So I guess to answer your question, I'd say a month+ would be deeming acceptable to me to get the "early adopters fee".

I ordered my two 290s the day they came out. Paid for overnight shipping. Received them on Friday. It has been less than 4 days that you could possibly own these cards. And there is a bundle that isn't even retroactive?

Sorry but if you can't see the arrogance in that, then I don't know how else to explain it to you.

Before R9 even launched there were tons of rumors that Never Settled would be paused but that bundles would come real soon after R9 launch. So it wasn't exactly unforeseen. It's one of the reasons why I decided to play wait and see. The other being I want to see what coolers come out, of course. :D

Um, most people who are interested in BF4 already have it. So...why are we crying again? If you don't have BF4 by now, then you are likely so noob that you'll just get owned and uninstall anyway. Kinda like I almost did tonight after playing Operation Locker.

I use to be big into BF2, was actually #19 US sniper for awhile. But quit after grinding the game so hard.

That's neither here nor there. I do own BF3, and played it for a bit. But I am going outside the genre. So I haven't purchased BF4. I've thought about, even made a trip to BestBuy picked it up. But just couldn't decide to pay $ for it until it declined in price.

So yes, I am interested. Not enough to pay the high price of it currently. So yes, this would of been nice.

I'm going to help you not be so pissed in the future. It is an important lesson that will lead to less pissed off feelings. Learn to... wait.

I know he is. So was I. Groove isn't the type to cry about something like that. He didn't even complain when he bought 2x Titans and then the 780 dropped.

Your right. I should of known they were going to be allowing a bundle of free BF4 less than a week after release.

Because it happens all the time, that soon.

Judging by how much your rig costs--you are running a freaking TITAN among other things--I am guessing that you aren't hurting for money. Just buy a BF4 code or game if you want it that badly. :)

First, I sold the Titan. Currently use two Sapphire 290s. I apologize for the out-of-date signature.

It's more of a compounding issue than anything else. When you couple the following.

Black screen errors.
Having to underclock memory to play games
CFX negative scaling

Now adding onto the fact of a middle finger so soon to release for people who just purchased your product.

Ok, that's more understandable when you have other grievances too. Maybe you can return or RMA the cards?

I'm not sure if you mean RMA in terms to the issues I am having. Or to try and receive the vouchers.

I'm going to assume you mean due to the issues. So I will clairfy as I should have of. I figured most people knew already about the issues considering how wide spread it is on OCN. I apologize for the assumption.

The black screen / under clocking memory errors don't seem to be hardware related at this time. They seem to driver / bios related. Due to how large scale the issue is. But this is all speculation from people putting heads together on OCN.

I'm an AMD loyalist at heart. Owning 5:1 their cards to nvidia in my history. I'm happy to be back on team red, and would like to stay there. It's just getting harder every day.
