You can always add a special blend of spices in it.

Any decent cook can make something wonderful with simple ingredients like stewed tomatoes. I like making my own pasta sauce. That way you control what goes in it.

Pasta sauce is actually one of the few things I make myself that I actually enjoy. I suck at cooking, but pasta sauce is pretty hard to screw up. Of course it's something you need to plan in advance as it takes several hours to cook. I usually make a batch of 10+ mason jars at a time then I freeze it.

I also don't bother with adding ground beef like you're suppose to, I just make a meatless pasta, then usually add peperettes to it. It's not exactly conventional but I actually like it.

Here is advice for Mayne:

since you live in Toronto, go to your nearest No Frills store and head into the spice section. Walk over to where the yellow no-name spice bags are. Get the one that says Italian Seasoning. It has 7 dried herbs in it. Add this to your cooking and it will burst with flavour.

I had to google "Bravo sauce". It's a Canadian brand of crappy spaghetti sauce. But if I had a can of peeled tomatoes it would be fairly easy to turn that into yummy pasta sauce.
