Exactly why I gave FedEx and Newegg a W00T. I ordered a part that I needed to sign for from UPS one time. I wasn't going to be home when they delivered so I called up the local UPS office the day it was to be delivered and asked them to hold it there and I would pick it up. They told me I would have to wait two days to pick it up. What BS. I can go pick up a package from FedEx at night the same day it was to be delivered.

I don't understand why people diss UPS so much - I'm a big fan of them. I ordered some CD-RWs, a set of headphones, and that FAR Logitech Optical Mouse from Amazon on Sunday, and I had it on Tuesday (UPS ground).

Another BIG fan of Newegg and FedEx. So much so, in fact, that I opened an account with FedEx.

Newegg gets it out the door fast, and FedEX gets it here fast. (WI) Can't beat that. Especially when Newegg picks the shipping up for free. :D

Same here. I've had almost nothing, but positive results from UPS. FedEx has been the only one to sit on my packages for a day or two when it's already in town, but then again I haven't had that problem for over a year now either. I've used Newegg/FedEx and loved it.

This probably is just pure dumn luck, but what's worked great for me with both is to have everything shipped to my office rather than my home whenever possible. For one thing I've got a receptionist here who's sure to sign for things should a signature be required. Secondly, it just seems like both services seem to go out of their way to make sure things get to business addresses as early as possible.

Well, I ordered from Newegg the 16th, and they got my personal check 4 days later (not bad, considering how badly the USPS has been doing lately, and that the check had to be mailed from IN to CA). On the 22nd, I got a notice that my order had been shipped. Then, on the 23rd, FedEx showed that it arrived in Indianapolis. But now, today (the 24th), it has shown up at a facility about 30 miles from my house (not a long distance, since this area is sort of rural), but under comments they say, "Package not due for delivery." I have this bad feeling that they won't be bringing it today "just because." That means that I'll have to wait until Monday to get my Athlon XP 1700+ and other misc. components, which means I'll have to wait until next Saturday until I have time again to install the components. I want my package now, $#%^&*! :|

Edit: Don't get the impression that I don't like Newegg - on the contrary, I'm very happy with their services. It's just that I'm pissed that my upgrade I was planning for tomorrow will have to wait another week. :(

not "just because." it takes at least an extra day to kick the box around enough to get it properly damaged. they take a little longer, but they get the job done. you don't get that kind of dedication to destruction with other shippers.

is there any way to make it so that they hold my fedex packages at the station every time? I find that to be much easier, especially since the stations on my way to school, and nobodys ever home to sign fo rthe packages.
