Burj Dubai just unofficially became the tallest man-made structure yesterday but the projected Al Burj building dwarfs it in this pic. That thing is huge!:shocked:

So, I can draw a structure a milltion times taller than that. That doesn't mean it's going to get built. Al Burj is currently vaporware and even if it does get the green light it won't be nearly that tall. Those plans have been scrapped.

FWIW the foundation work for Al Burj IS going on as we speak, there is no assurance the final buidling will ever be that big, but their grading the site last I checked. Also of note that while the image in question shows Taipei 101 and empire state buidling as though they were good points of reference there are 5-10 buildings being built right now that are taller than any of those. Also of note is that while the Burj Dubai is TALLER than any other buidling its smaller in terms of sqare footage than ALOT of other skyscrapers like the Sears Tower for example, and FAR smaller alot of the massive shorter buildings like say the pentagon.
