Not sure if it makes things better or worse but, according to the original game's story as told in the manual, Goomba's are former Mushroom Kingdom residents transformed and turned evil by Bowser's magic. So are the bricks, coins, and everything else. I believe they were once the same as the "Sorry but our princess is in another castle" guys ("Mushroom Retainers" including Toad).

I hated all the unnecessary camera movements.

Hah! My friends and I still play Mario Kart 64 almost daily and that's exactly how I'd feel about a girl playing it with us.

We usually only play 3-players, first to 6 points in Battle Mode. My brother won last night. I won the two nights prior. The score was usually 5-5-6, so we are pretty evenly matched.
