Click on a couple links and look at the page where you enter the CC # or your bank routing info. Looks totally unsecured to me. Would you enter personal info on this???

Looks like a third grader designed the web page. (and I might be insulting some third graders).

Looks like a scam to me, since you were soliciting thoughts from others.

Interesting that they have a link to GasBuddy.com

Why would you need that if it only costs you $1.50 ?

From the FAQ page:

--------------------------

* How does GasRefund.com know how much to send me?Top of page

Each time you purchase your gas, please save your receipt! Included in the enrollment package is a members only link. You will input your purchases into this area. You are not required to send in any receipts, but should keep them in case of a discrepancy. GasRefund will calculate the amount of refund from the information you have entered. GasRefund will automatically verify the accuracy of information entered through normal validation procedures.

* Do I have to purchase anything to be eligible for savings?Top of page

No. As a member of GasRefund.com, you are not required to purchase anything to receive your savings. Our revenue is generated from our advertising partnerships with various companies. These can be seen throughout the GasRefund.com web site. Support of our Sponsors and Advertisers is encouraged and appreciated.

* How can GasReund.com afford to lower my gas price to $1.50 per gallon?Top of page

Many people have wondered this! GasRefund.com is a proprietary advertising vehicle. Our revenue is generated solely from our partnerships with various companies that pay GasRefund.com to host advertisements from them. In addition, any subsequent purchases made by GasRefund.com members also generates revenue for us. It is this revenue that is used to send out the gas money refunds to our customers. You make this possible, and as a result, we wish to share our profits with American citizens. Gas prices are too high, and we are trying to help!

* Is my credit card or checking information secure?Top of page

Yes. All transactions are conducted using SSL technology. This technology is state of the art and encrypts your information where it can not be viewed or intercepted during transmission. Please view our privacy policy if you have any questions.

* How long does it take for me to receive my gas money refund?Top of page

All gas money refunds are processed on a monthly basis. Typical time for your gas money refunds to be received is currently between 5-7 business days after submission of information.

* Where can I purchase my gasoline?Top of page

You may purchase your gas from any gas retailer in the United States. (anywhere)

----------------

I serious doubt anyone can verify that your self reported purchases are accurate and send you the rebate within 5-7 days ......

Hey, I don't know what you guys are worried about, it says "Satisifaction guaranteed or your money back." I mean what more do you need? ;)

Reminds of an old Simpsons where Grandpa met Marge's mother.

Marge: "You two have something in common, you both got ripped of in that credit card scam."

Grandpa: "Oh, it's not a scam. All you have to do is give them all your credit card numbers, and if one of them is lucky, you win a prize!"

Reverse lookup of the phone # on the whois belongs to this address.

Lenzy's Gedcom Collective
7100 Smiling Wood Lane
Houston, TX 77086
Ph: 281-555-1212

Doing google search of "Lenzy's Gedcom Collective" takes you to some weird places.

"Lenzy's Gedcom Collective" is listed on this page of Houston area "collectibles" businesses:

http://www.tx-dir.com/houston-collectibles.htm

Now I see why all the major oil compaines decided to partner with this business to let consumers buy gas at the "industrial" price (fixed at $1.50 for life) .....

Seriously this is the lamest scam I have ever seen
