I went to a gun show and machine gun exhibition with some friends from works, and standing in the middle of the range where the event was taking place was a guy wearing an authentic Nazi SS uniform. At first I was more surprised than angry, thinking perhaps that the guy was some sort of history buff or something, so I made my way over to the guy and listened to him for a bit . . . first thing I noticed about him were the swastikas tatooed on the back of his wrists, and his conversation didn't get much better. He bragged about how had been given police protection in the past (guess I wasn't the only one who wanted to kill this guy) and went into the standard master-race spiel. I could have handled one guy being an SOB, but it was the constant throng of people around him that just pissed me off. Most of them seemed to pretty much share his opinions and viewpoints. There were a couple people that felt like me, and I guess he was eventually kicked out because I didn't see him later.

People like that should be given the true Nazi experience:

Drag them out to a trench, & put a bullet in their head.

Bastards.

Let it be. He'll meet an ugly end soon if he keeps that up. Things have a way of taking care of themselves...

People were lining up to have their pictures taken with the MF'er!

I can't believe there is still that much hate in the world. What the hell did my granpa fight in the war for, anyway, if scum like that is still around!

I would think that would be too quick and painless...perhaps he should be forced to live for months on only scraps of moldy bread and eventually burned alive? Or maybe gassed?

Unfortunately, he fought for exactly that: The right for whoever to think whatever they want. As soon as you try to legislate his right to think like an asshole, you're one step closer to legislating your right to worship how you please. As long as he doesn't act on his hatred, he's perfectly legal.

But he's still an asshole.

Viper: You sound like a spokesperson for the ACLU.

That could be dangerous in a forum like this.;)

Thank you, Viper GTS. You can't get rid of his type as long as they haven't done anything illegal, but they're still assholes, and assholes are subject to immature, childish pranks. :)

Don't jump on Viper for that. The only thing that would outrage me more than that arsehead is seeing the police arrest him for his arseheadness.

Ferocious:

I think most people here know me well enough to know I think he's an asshole, & I don't support him in any way, shape, or form. But... As long as all he does is think like an asshole, I can't encroach his right to to do that. I may not agree with what the local catholic church teaches, but I can't try to get rid of them without endangering my own choice of church.

As sad as it may be, some things have to be tolerated in order to preserve our own freedoms.

It's the people who agree with the Nazi guy but don't present it that are more disturbing. At least by looking at what the guy's wearing you can see he's an asshole moron.

actually, the Swastika is a symbol of peace, life and love, but the image was corrupted by the Nazi's. if you ever see someone with a Swastika tattoo etc. don't jump to any conclusions

toph99...

Anyone who got that tattoo since 1945 knows exactly what that symbol means to people. The only person that I might let get away with that would be somebody who was like 75.

I think there is a little or nothing you can do about it as long as he did not break a law.

I have little patience myself for someone who support the most assinine ideals of Nazism.

The killed millions of innocent people without mercy but you know what...the take a back seat to Stalin in that deptmanent.

I remember reading to my horror that asshole killed 7 million of his own people?!?!!

So I guess freedom of speech only applies to speech you agree with, eh? You're as guilty as he is, so STFU.

Edit: For clarity, the above rudeness is directed towards those who expressed a desire to harm nazis.

The original swastika is a symbol of peace.

But the Swastika that the Nazi's used is reversed...a mirror image, backwards.

So they are not the same.

BTW: if you walk around downtown Glendal CA., you might notice a bunch of
swastikas engraved on city lamp posts and othe metal structures. Of course,
it's the original one, not the reversed one. Interestingly though, Glendale, CA
was a hotbed of racism as late as the early 80's. Some say it still is.

<< I went to a gun show and machine gun exhibition with some friends >>

Well, that was your first mistake. <snip> Gun nuts are among the lowest forms of life in our country. Not gun owners, but the nuts that have 50 cal machine guns in their backyards and think bazookas are good for home defense.

If you don't like nerds, asians, or middle-easterners, don't go to computer shows. Similarly, if you don't like nazis, republicans, or the nra, stay away from gun shows.

(I like computer shows, BTW). ;)

I had to read your post twice.

>>>Do the words Ruby Ridge mean anything to you? <<<

Yep. They mean to me an out of control FBI government sponsered terrorist killing women and children to bully a family living in peace amongst thier peers. And The same for Waco.

I am on record for sensible gun laws, but the fact those incedents occured in my country,in my lifetime, means it is incumbant upon every citizen to be armed and resist oppresion from a government gone wrong. And To protect themselves from skinhead, nazi loving, hate mongering A- holes as well.

Get my point?

Tripleshot,

you're right about the fbi going too far at rr. I'm was trying to illustrate the mentality of many gun-show attendees... people ready and willing to go to war against the government to protect their 2 acres in montana or idaho.

I do believe its best for more people to see what a a**hole the guy is and thats probably why so many people where listening to him, I would want to hear his speech just so I could have the right ammo to use against a jerk like that.
just think the guy really believes in what he was saying, that he would risk his life for it.
what a loser

I usually avoid these topics because of my position on gun control, but I needed to illustrate that you cannot give up your right to protect your family from harm and it was extreme to use the force they did(the Feds) all for gun control. Lok at how many died over that issue alone? It culminated in the Oklahoma City bombing. It's out right insanity. You don't know who is going to protect you,so you need to be prepared to protect yourself,or you could lose your libery and/or your life from every front imaginable.(Thats extreme too,My bad. I don't expect to be cut down by an uzi packing irate nun anytime soon.)

I might also say that I am for a 3 day waiting period for gun purchases and a thourough background check, and all convicted felons have to throw rocks. They get no guns. They lose that right as a conseqence of there crime. Further, If children live in the home, mandatory trigger locks on all guns not stored under lock and key (IE: grandpas collection in the gun display in the den)

Some gun shows are exempt from background checks and it is entirely too damn easy to get a gun merchant permit in the US. That is another way the background check is subverted.

So flame me,what the heck. It's sunday. And I'm watching football. I don't give a damn,my dear!
