The pc is a abit bx6 rev.2 m/b,PII350,192 megs ram,gf2 mx400,h/d,cd-rom etc...One question, for some reason my cd-rom drive does not show up on boot-up,it's slaved to the h/d,which shows up,but cdrom does not, why?,Which makes it hard to install winxp,as it won't boot from the cd drive. So I hooked up my hardrive anyway,it booted into win98(old o/s),strangely the cd-rom works and shows up in win98, then I installed xp(fat32) overtop from the cd drive. Not what I want, but it'll do for the time being.I'll wipe it clean, when I get the bugs out.Once I get this figured out,I'm gonna ZAP the h/d and hopefully, install winxp, from the cd drive fresh on a nuked h/d.Any help appreciated, thanks.

EDIT
It was a bios setting, had to set slave to auto to recognize cdrom.
