An older story, but I felt the need to share.
circa 2001
It all started at about 6:30 a.m. on a rural back road, hauling ass to make a 7:10 appointment a couple of towns over. Light fog covered the road. Ahead of me I saw something like this...
...and thought about how pretty nature was and how I lived in a wonderful place. Then it all went wrong.
It seems as though there was a straggler. A lone wolf that couldn't keep up with the pack. A soldier left behind.... and BAM!!!!
I falcon punched that poor son bitch at over 70 MPH with my 1997 Ford Ranger. It felt like I hit a cinder block and looked like someone strapped a bomb to the turkey in a terrorist attack against humanity. I even had feathers come through my A/C vents!
As I pulled over to observe the damage I notices there were no remains, but merely a Van Gogh esque painting with my truck for a canvas.
I arrived safely at my appointment but not without the sneers and snickers of passersby and question from some concerned folks.
And that people, is why you never leave a turkey behind. Please, think of the turkeys...
