Suck it! My family will own your family for 100 generations.

Ok, in retrospect, that might have been over the top. Let's say 5 generations and still be friends. I feel better already.
God damn google. The first result listed bleach.

I've seen urinals in home bathrooms, next to the standard toilet. They're nice to have, very easy to clean, and they keep the toilet and area around it much cleaner. Face it, toilet rims and the floor around a standard toilet do get splashed, and a urinal addresses that.

But that thing above is just a bad idea.

Which is why some of us higher functioning people sit at home, but stand in public bathrooms/bathrooms at work, since those are cleaned and mopped at least once a day.

So, yeah, I faced it - toilet rims and the floor around a standard toilet do get splashed if you stand. And, that's pretty nasty. I don't want that in my house, and rather than purchasing an ugly urinal that would be next to my face when I'm sitting to take a crap, I just sit to take a leak as well as to crap.

They just need a lever you step on with your foot that raises the seat, which then lowers when you remove your foot. Just like a trash can.

I picture a drunk man trying to hold his foot on the thing, losing his balance, then falling over while urinating.

I'm trained to lift the damn seat and put it back down. I even do it when I don't have to.

Cleaning seems to be a problem. Their kickstarter page claims that all you have to do is spray some cleaner into the top, but I don't thinks that's going to get everything when you only do it occasionally after the urine has time to dry. It probably works ok if you clean it each and every time you use it while the urine is still wet, but now we're getting into the territory of the thing not being a real time or effort saver over just remembering to lift/lower the toilet lid. Then there's the problem of going number 2 and having to move the thing out of the way every time you sit down. The wife isn't going to be any happier with your pee receptacle being at almost exactly head height when she sits down than she was with you forgetting to lower the seat before. I'm voting no on this one.

I understand where he is coming from... though I've never brought myself to do such a thing. I'll often take note how much backsplash I get many times when standing. It will fucking bounce out and I'll see it hit the wall on the outside.

It sucks when I'm at work, it will sometimes backsplash onto my own fucking pants.

There is a better way...

I was doing work at someone's house, relator who is technically dumb as rocks but knows how to sell, hence has super-rich everything. Had to use the bathroom, open the door, and lights turn on from within the toilet bowl as the lid automatically raises up! Sit down to a heated seat, and the toilet periodically sprayed new water down into the bowl.

The damn thing even had a remote control you could use while sitting!

As for the item in that kickstarter... hell no. No woman would ever put up with that being there, no male roommate would ever put up with it either. Thus your target audience is forever-single living-alone males who have already resigned to a fate of never even trying for a relationship. Yea... that'll sell well...

Sorry, I'm perfectly capable of cleaning my bathroom once every week or two. If the rim of the toilet gets bad in between, a quick wipe with some damp TP or a wet wipe takes care of it. If you only clean your bathroom once a year or so, then yeah, you should probably continue to sit when you pee.

sitting down to pee means never having to touch your junk.

also, what about the females in the family? They'd sit down next to that thing in their face. :D

Now there is an idea worthy of a kickstarter. "ladies, are you tired of your man pissing all over the shower? Introducing the Showerinal which connects directly to the shower drain."

you don't pee right down the drain?

you don't have to hold your junk out of the toilet water?

I'd prefer the splashing not soak into the wall, and clean the bathroom floor (or rather, my wife does) more than once per week.

I am tempted to make a $2 donation just so I can make a comment on their page on how stupid this is.

Will I be charged if they don't reach their goal?
