Never got the $300 refund check, how to get one reissued.

My GF moved from the address on her taxes. So I am am asssuming her tax refund was sent there, and then returned. It was not forwarded to her new adddress.

I looked on every website to do with taxes etc, and couldn't find anything about how to get a check reissued (if possible). According to her Social Security # she should have got hers last month.

anyone know what to do?

It may not have been issued yet.

The first column is the last two digits in your social security number, the second column is the week when those people should receive their checks.

70 - 79 September 10
80 - 89 September 17
90 - 99 September 24

unfortunately for us, my gf's SSN is within the first series of numbers so she should've gotten her check long ago. stupid IRS...

A friend of mine was in the same situation, here's what he did to get his rebate check cancelled and re-issued.

He called the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 and pressed options 1, 1, and 3 then waited on hold in a queue for 10 minutes until he spoke with an IRS agent who helped him out. They are getting slammed with calls so you may receive a message stating due to heavy call volume only automated information is available. Then I would hang up and call again until you are placed on hold in the queue. Let's hope you have speakerphone

also the address forwarding doesn't help her now if it was already sent.

It can take several MONTHS for the post office to forward your letters to your new address. I've gotten one that was date 1/2 year before ...
